Yes, the bus has seatbelts, however the wheelchair space is not strapped down. Your wheelchair must have a working brake. We strongly advise all passengers, but especially children, to use the seatbelts provided.
If you are a member of the kerb to bus scheme, the bus will either pick you up outside your property or at another close designated pick up point. Unfortunately as this is a registered bus service, the bus cannot perform any reversing manoeuvres, due to health and safety. Therefore if you live in a cul-de-sac or no through road you may be asked to make your way to a pick up point on a nearby street. When you make your first booking you will be notified of your designed pick up point. Drop off locations will also be at the closest through road point.
For DRT journeys you will be picked up at a designated point in your community and dropped off at a bus stop in your hub location, for easy access to local services and onward bus connections. When you book you will be notified of your pick up location, you can request the bus stop at your hub location by letting the driver know your preference.
No, all users are expected to be at their designated pick up point at the time stated. The bus will wait for no longer than 3 minutes before the journey is cancelled and marked as a no-show. The driver will be able to provide an arm assist onto the bus if requested. The bus has a side entrance with a low floor to assist the majority of passengers onto the bus. If you require further assistance, you are strongly recommended to bring a carer with you.
No, the driver may have other passengers on board and cannot park the bus to assist you with your personal belongings. Please note this is a registered bus service. If you require assistance we recommend you bring a carer or have someone meet you at the drop off point.
