The Wee County Bus is a new flexible fully accessible bus service, aiming to connect local people with local services and onward journeys by regular bus services.
The Wee Country Bus aims to provide bus services to two main groups of people:
• local disabled people who cannot use regular bus services (kerb to bus), and
• communities with no access to local bus services (Demand Responsive Transport).
The bus service will be shared with both user groups and must be booked in advance. At times we may use the bus for other purposes.
The service will launch in July and the first phase will focus on the transition of our existing door to door passengers onto the new service. We aim to introduce the Demand Responsive Transport service in the autumn.
