In 2024/25 we purchased a total of 23 properties from the local open market as part of our ongoing policy initiative to provide additional housing for people in housing need.

In 2024/25 we reviewed our rent structure with a purpose of creating a simple, fair and consistent charging system for all our tenants. The changes made to the structure were implemented on 31st March 2025.
This year we began surveying tenants at various events, including gala days and the community carnival, to help shape our budget for 2026/27.
The annual rent consultation for financial year 2026/27 ran from 18 November 2025 for 4 weeks. The consultation asked for opinions on your current rent charge and on a proposed rent increase for the coming year.
