This page explains why we hold information about you and who is responsible for the information.
Data Controller
Your personal information will be processed by Clackmannanshire Council, Kilncraigs, Greenside Street, Alloa FK10 1EB. Our data protection statement is available to refer to.

Purpose
Your information is being collected to use for the following purposes:
- Provide required and/or requested services.
- Process applications for social housing.
- Manage social housing tenancies, including processing of rent, payment, understanding of repairs and provision of tenants support.
- Provision of temporary accommodation, advice and support to homelessness applicants.
- Create statistics and management reports to measure performance and use this anonymised data to improve the provided services.

Where the legal basis for processing is either performance of a contract or legal obligation, the consequences of failure to provide the information may result in the Council not being able to carry out or perform the required and/or requested services.

Who can we share your information with?
- Services across the Council
- Department for Work and Pensions
- Health
- Police
- Fire and Rescue
- Contractors and subcontractors who carry out work on behalf of the Housing Service, including, but not limited to
- multi-trade contractors delivering repairs;
- contractors completing major works such as bathroom or kitchen replacements;
- contractors carrying out stock condition surveys;
- organisations undertaking tenant satisfaction surveys or other service related surveys, for example every three years.
Any organisation receiving your information will only receive what is necessary to carry out the required service and must keep your information secure.
Where is the information held?
We do not transfer data outside UK.
Retention
The Council has a list of how long information is kept for known as a Retention Schedule. If you want to see more information on this you can ask the Data Protection Officer.
Automated decision making
The Council will only make decisions about you which involve relevant and appropriate people, including yourself.
Your rights
- to withdraw consent at any time, where the legal basis specified above is consent;
- to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office;
- to request access to your personal data;
- to data portability, where the Legal basis specified above is
- consent, or
- performance of a contract;
- to request rectification or erasure of your personal data, as so far as the legislation permits.

Right to complain
If you are unhappy with the way the Council has processed your personal data you have the right to complain. Any complaints regarding your data should be addressed to the Data Protection Officer.
