Following the Government advice on easing of some coronavirus restrictions the Council has re-opened the Recycling Centre at Forthbank to the public, on a pre-booked slot only basis. This will assist with disposal of waste which may be difficult or unpleasant to store at home, or present an increased health risk.
Access to the site will be subject to stringent controls, including:
An appointment can be made online. On entering your details you will be given a time-slot. Please retain this information.
You can also book by phone by calling 01259 450000, but please be aware that you need to have an email address.
To help with traffic management you should plan to arrive at the Centre no more than 5 minutes before your allocated time.
You must bring a driving licence to prove that you are a Clackmannanshire or Kincardine resident, otherwise entry will be denied.
When arriving at the site checkpoint, please ensure your vehicle windows remain closed, make sure your photographic I.D. (Driving Licence preferred) is clearly visible for inspection by checkpoint staff.
You will not be permitted access to the site without an appointment.
Vehicles will only be permitted access to the site once per week (if pre-booked). This limit is required to try and ensure fair opprtunity for all.
Please note that due to social distancing, the time available on-site will be restricted. Please endeavour to retain your recyclables at home until normal operations resume.
Please endeavour to group materials in your vehicle to assist in turnaround time on site.
On site, you will initially be directed to the residual waste bays and then be permitted to drive to the garden and wood bays (if required) as your last drop-off prior to departure. Please ensure that your vehicle is loaded accordingly as you will not be permitted to return.
Please note that at this time we cannot accept soil or rubble (this includes slabs, tiles, stones, toilet cisterns, ceramics, etc).
Social distancing must be observed i.e. remaining at least 2 metres away from site staff and other users.
For this reason physical assistance for site users will be restricted.
Vehicles should be driver-only.

Numbers of users on site at any one time will be restricted and controlled by site staff.
Failure to follow instructions will result in the site user being requested to leave site immediately and inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
CCTV cameras will be in operation at all times.
There may be a Police presence at the Recycling Centre to ensure staff and public safety.
Access through this booking system will be limited to cars, and small vans for example Kangoo or Berlingo. Any larger vehicles such as Transporter, Transit, Luton, Sprinter etc will not be permitted access through this booking process.

Users may also utilise a small trailer (max trailer size – 4 foot by 3 foot).
Access to Forthbank reopened on Wednesday 3 June, subject to a number of constraints.
Users can only visit the site between 8.30 and 9.10 am, Monday to Friday.
A pre-paid Trader's tipping ticket will be required. These are only available for purchase at the Speirs Centre, Primrose Place, Alloa, between 9.00 and 11.00 am on Tuesdays. No cash payments accepted – credit or debit card only*.
*Note that users who hold a valid voucher bought previously can present this at the Speirs Centre to be allocated an appointment date. Other restrictions on access will still apply for example location of the business.
Users should bring evidence of their SEPA Waste Carrier or Transporter registration when buying a voucher.
The current charge is £58 per visit.
Only businesses based and operating in Clackmannanshire will be given access to the site.
Visits will be by appointment, up to 7 days in advance. You will be issued with an appointment date and time when purchasing your tipping voucher.
Maximum vehicle size is 3.5 tonnes gross.
Please note that soil and rubble (including ceramic sinks, cisterns etc) are not currently being accepted.
Commercial vehicles will not be permitted onto the site at any other times (with or without a traders tipping ticket).
