The service is for oversized items which will not fit in a standard wheelie bin.
We will collect up to 5 items in a single uplift – a list of acceptable items is available in Section 16 of the Household Waste Policy.
Please note that it is not a collection service for excess household waste that should be placed in a household bin. If you wish to present acceptable items in clear bags eg toys, carpet pieces, small electrical appliances, these should be described fully when ordering an uplift.
Before disposing of any bulky items outside, please consider whether they can be reused. You can donate usable items to local charity organisations:
National re-use This phone line and website service easily allow you to pass on household items to be used again. The re-use phone line works with community-based reuse organisations, local authorities and partners across Scotland to provide the public with a free collection service for unwanted items.

Private householders are charged £50.00 as of 1 April 2023 per uplift. All chargeable uplifts must be paid in advance.
For Clackmannanshire Council tenants, the charge is covered by the rent tenants pay to the Housing Revenue Account (HRA). The number of uplifts available to tenants in the year is subject to the approved housing budget, and thereafter tenant requests will be subject to charging.
Paragon Housing Association tenants are currently entitled to multiple uplifts as the charge is paid from their rent.
Ochil View tenants may be entitled to a discounted rate subject to limits set by the company. Please phone the Council Contact Centre on 01259 450000 to check eligibility.
Clackmannanshire Council also provides a Commercial Waste services. Prices vary dependent on bin size chosen and frequency of collection. Please call 01259 450000 to arrange or discuss this service.

Most uplifts are being completed within 10 working days. This may sometimes take longer depending on demand.

Please consider fire safety when storing materials to be uplifted. It is not good practice to store an item in a close or against a building as this is classed as a fire hazard.
Another option is to use the National Re-use Collection Service.

The National re-use phone line collects bed frames, mattresses, chests of drawers, book cases, wardrobes, dressing tables, tables, chairs, sofas, armchairs, washing machines, electric cookers, fridge freezers and bikes.
