Bulky Waste Collection Uplift

Bulky Waste Collection Uplift

The service is for oversized items which will not fit in a standard wheelie bin.

We will collect up to 5 items in a single uplift – a list of acceptable items is available in Section 16 of the Household Waste Policy.

Please note that it is not a collection service for excess household waste that should be placed in a household bin. If you wish to present acceptable items in clear bags eg toys, carpet pieces, small electrical appliances, these should be described fully when ordering an uplift.

Before disposing of any bulky items outside, please consider whether they can be reused. You can donate usable items to local charity organisations:

  • National re-use This phone line and website service easily allow you to pass on household items to be used again. The re-use phone line works with community-based reuse organisations, local authorities and partners across Scotland to provide the public with a free collection service for unwanted items.

  • Alloa Community Enterprises, t: 01259 928081 (free uplift)

  • Household Waste Recycling Centre - you can dispose of a variety of items, free of charge, at Forthbank Recycling Centre

Clackmannanshire Council ordinarily provides a 'bulky waste collection uplift' service for the removal of household waste that is too big to fit into your bin (not excess bagged waste). Examples of the type of waste might include broken furniture, domestic appliances, carpets, cardboard etc.
