Family Support

Overview

Strengthening families in Clackmannanshire

The Family Support Collaborative is a new, partnership‑driven approach to supporting children, young people, and families across Clackmannanshire.

Over the past year, Clackmannanshire Council, the Third Sector, and the Family Wellbeing Partnership have worked together to explore innovative ways of delivering family support. This includes designing services and commissioning approaches shaped directly by the voices of people with lived experience.

This work has led to the creation of the Family Support Commissioning Consortium – a groundbreaking partnership transforming how support is designed, commissioned, and delivered locally.

Community based hubs

Our new Family Wellbeing Hubs, shaped by insights from the Family Voices group, are designed to be:

  • Located close to home and aligned with school clusters
  • Flexible, welcoming, and stigma free
  • Staffed by trusted partners from across the Collaborative
  • Offering a wide range of support — from parenting help to employability guidance

These hubs are connected to the one stop shop network, led by the Family Wellbeing Partnership, ensuring families can access the right support quickly and easily.

Referrals can be completed directly at the hub. They are then reviewed by the whole family support screening group, where partners identify the most suitable support or service.

Process

Please see the process for family support below:

  • Visit your local family wellbeing hub
  • Speak with a member of the team for support and guidance or complete a referral form with staff at the hub. If you prefer, an appointment can also be arranged
  • Your referral is reviewed by the whole family support screening group
  • You are matched with the most appropriate support or service
  • Ongoing support is provided by the relevant partner organisation
