Protecting the environment is about more than putting litter in the bin. Here at Clackmannanshire we have one of the best natural environments in Scotland, and we want to keep it that way.
We work with local people, businesses and schools to educate them on everything from biodiversity to taking care of the countryside. We also promote environmentally efficient initiatives, such as encouraging recycling, composting or reducing packaging on goods and finding new ways to save energy.
And Environmental Health is high on our agenda, where we work hard to improve and safeguard the health of people living and working in Clackmannanshire. We achieve this by giving advice, inspecting businesses in terms of food safety and occupational health and safety and our many other functions dealing with public health including pollution control, health promotion, animal welfare and pest control.
