Travel Plan - Smart Travel

In order to encourage local businesses and residents to adopt a sustainable approach to travel, a number of measures have been introduced to encourage local people, staff and visitors to travel by more sustainable modes, including:

• e-bikes for council staff to rent
• Bike accessories and clothing available on request for staff
• Cycle leaders on hand to give cycle confidence training and road safety advice
• Staff cycle to work scheme
• A new secure and sheltered bike shelter for staff
• Bike racks for guests visiting the council
• Showers and changing facilities for staff
• Walking and cycling maps
