Armed Forces Covenant and Employer Recognition Scheme

Clackmannanshire Council entered the Armed Forces Community Covenant in 2012 and then reaffirmed its allegiance by signing a refreshed Community Covenant in 2018. 

 Bronze award of the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS)

In 2019 the Council was awarded the Bronze award of the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS). More information on this scheme can be found below.  
 
Clackmannanshire Council also employ staff who are members of the Reserve Forces and recognise the valuable contribution that Reservists make to the UK Armed Forces, their communities and the civilian workplace. 

The Council also recognises the role of Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs). 

Clackmannanshire Council is committed to supporting members of the Reserve Forces and the commitments set out in achieving continued Employer Recognition Scheme. 

Clackmannanshire Council is currently progressing work to apply for Silver award through the Employer Recognition Scheme.
