Access for All

The Council provides a number of support services to those with disabilities, including:

• Administration of the National Entitlement Card (bus passes) for those with disabilities
• Administration of the Blue Badge scheme for disabled parking
• Administration of the Taxicard scheme for those with disabilities
• Accessible infrastructure including dropped kerbs, bus boarders, disabled parking and pedestrian crossings

Equality Act

Clackmannanshire Council has a duty under the Equality Act 2010 to make the local road network accessible for all. The Act applies to the provision of transport services and infrastructure under the control of the Council.

The Council aims to remove physical and psychological barriers to travel, to work towards a fully inclusive and accessible society. In order to achieve this, Roads and Transportation will develop a Roads Equality Scheme, which will support the Council's Equality Scheme. This will show what will be done to plan, deliver and evaluate action to eliminate discrimination and promote equality.
