The Council are required to review, update and republish the Action Programme at least every 2 years. The first review of the Action Programme was published in December 2017. The Action Programme due to be published in December 2019 had to be put on hold while the Local Development Plan (LDP) Review’s Main Issues Report publicity stage was undertaken. Re-commencement of the preparation of the Action Programme was been further hampered by the COVID situation, however it has now been published – LDP Action Programme Review (October 2020).
This second LDP Monitoring Report (MR) covers the period from 19th August 2016 to 19th August 2017. Factual and anecdotal evidence has been included in the MR to give a better feel of how the LDP is influencing planning decisions and development in Clackmannanshire.
This MR has been produced to consider the use and impact of the policies and the progress and status of the proposals in the LDP. When the LDP is reviewed a more comprehensive Monitoring Statement will be produced to inform the Main Issues Report. Details of the timescales for this can be found in the annual LDP Development Plan Scheme.
The MR has been set out to follow a similar structure to the LDP written statement and uses the same chapter headings. Each section identifies the relevant LDP objectives, and any key contextual issues arising during the monitoring period.
