Photogtaph - Park Primary SchoolPark Primary was opened in September 1935. It is housed in a substantial and attractive building, set in spacious grounds.

Our School Handbook is available to view or download.

Facilities

Aspects of the building have recently been upgraded.

Our P1-3 classes benefit from a Soundfield system which appropriately amplifies the teacher’s voice.

All of our classrooms have specialist natural lighting.

The school has 13 rooms which include a library and smaller rooms used for group work.  We benefit from a separate dining room and gym hall.

Extensive grassy areas for sports and a play park border the tarmac playground.

Catchment

Park Primary School provides education for the South East area of Alloa.  We value our partnership between pupils, parents and staff.

Our aim is to create a school community in which effective learning can take place through the provision of high quality teaching and learning.

Nurture group

We have a very well established and award wining Nurture Group called the Sunshine Class.  The Sunshine class provides a small class setting which is responsive to particular needs of pupils and parents. The class is staffed by two specially trained adults.

Early Learning and Childcare Centre

Park ELC Centre was established in August 2011 after the merger of Tower Nursery School and Park Primary School.

Our ELC Centre is situated in the South East of Alloa on Scott Cresent to the rear of Alloa Tower and in close proximity to Park Primary, Alloa Family Centre and Alloa Academy.

The Centre provides a bright purpose built environment and offers high quality experiences for 3 and 4 year olds.  It currently accommodates 60 children in the morning and a further 60 in the afternoon.

Park Primary and ELC Centre benefit from very dedicated, hard working staff.

Skills development

Pupils in the school have many opportunities to develop skills out with the classroom through participation in Pupil council, Eco group, House Captains and our Global Schools Group.  We are a Health Promoting School.

After school activities

A range of after school physical activities is provided by the school's physical activities (PHIZ) Co-ordinator who also ensures participation in authority wide sporting events.  Park Primary has been consistently recognised and rewarded for our very high levels of participation at Sports Events.

Parent groups

A number of Parent Groups are available and supported by Early years and family workers.

The school enjoys the support of an active and committed Parent Council.
