School Clothing Grants

If your child attends one of our primary, special or secondary schools, you may qualify for a school clothing grant:

• £145 for primary aged child
• £185 for secondary aged child

School clothing grants will not be paid to children who are not enrolled at school.

To qualify for a school clothing grant you must be in receipt of Child Benefit and one of the following benefits:

• Income Support
• Income-based Job Seeker’s Allowance
• Any income related element of Employment and Support Allowance
• Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
• Universal Credit with a monthly earned income of not more than £1,666

Pupils who are eligible for an Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) are not eligible for a school clothing grant.
