Kitchen Replacement

The kitchen replacement programme continues to upgrade kitchens at 20 year intervals.

The council has a dedicated budget which will allow for 250 kitchens per year as programmed planned works. This work is being carried out by our internal Property Contracts Unit at Kelliebank.

Should any tenant who previously refused a kitchen replacement now wish to be considered within the programme, they should contact the Housing Investment Team on 01259 452000 or email HRAConstruction@clacks.gov.uk.

Bathroom Replacement

The bathroom programme is now complete, and all council tenants have been offered a new modern bathroom replacement.

There are still bathrooms remaining to be upgraded due to previous tenant refusal and this work is now being carried out by our internal trades at the Property Contacts Unit at Kelliebank.

The standard bathroom upgrade consists of

• new wash hand basin, toilet and bath with an over bath electric shower,
• a new light fitting will be installed with a low energy bulb,
• bathroom walls are papered and painted, the ceiling painted and floor vinyl laid,
• wallboards are fitted around the bath area and behind the wash hand basin.

Tenants are given the choice of wallboard design, different wallpaper, paint colours and flooring design.
