Repairs to Greenfield House

Repairs to Greenfield House

Greenfield House was built originally for the Paton family in 1892-94 and was under their ownership until the 1950s when it was bought by Alloa Town Council.

It was the headquarters of Clackmannanshire Council from 1987 to 2014. The Council reacquired the B-listed building in 2021.

More information about the history of the house and surrounding park is available by following the link.

What's happening at Greenfield House?

Clackmannanshire Council has appointed Procast Building Contractors Ltd to carry out initial repairs to make the B-listed Greenfield House wind and watertight. These works are part of a phased approach to refurbish the property over several years.

December 2025 update

Phase 1 works are progressing well on site and are due for completion at the end of March 2026. The scope of Phase 1 includes roof, stonework and rot repairs to make the building wind and watertight.

As part of the community benefits commitment, Procast has donated £1500 to Hawkhill Community Association for children's play equipment.

What is the plan for the future of Greenfield House?

The initial repair works are part of the Council’s wider investment programme connected to the Stirling and Clackmannanshire City Region Deal in which we aim to leverage more than £5.5m to develop and celebrate our county’s rich culture, heritage and tourism roots.
