For the purpose of the European Parliament Elections, Scotland is considered to be one large region. For administrative purposes locally, the poll is managed on a constituency basis before the preferences expressed by voters are amalgamated with those for the rest of Scotland.
This voting system means that a total of six individuals, are elected at the one time to serve the whole of Scotland rather than individual constituencies.
The last poll took place on Thursday 23rd May 2019, with the counting of the votes on Sunday 26th May 2019.
Results from previous European Parliamentary Elections are also available to view.
