Established in 1990 the Trust was formed following an amalgamation of 5 smaller Trusts. The Trustees meet twice a year, usually in March and September.
An application will only be accepted if any item you are applying for has been refused from Scottish Welfare Fund. Applications to SWF can be made via our Scottish Welfare Fund page.
Applications will be accepted from anyone of a ‘deserving character’ who has resided in Clackmannanshire for the 12 consecutive months preceding the meeting of the Trustees or who has lived in Clackmannanshire for 3 years some time in the past and continuously for the 6 consecutive months preceding the meeting of the Trustees.
The terms of the Trust require the money to be invested, the capital and income to be used to provide assistance for the benefit of the poor, sick, aged and handicapped persons and generally all persons in reduced or deserving circumstances.
Applications are now being accepted for the next meeting of the Clackmannan District Charitable Trust - date to be confirmed.
All applications will be considered but due to lack of funds, assistance is mainly given for essential household goods (eg electric cooker, washing machine, fridge, beds and bedding etc).
By application form.
