Unless you pay by Direct Debit, Council Tax is normally paid in 10 monthly instalments from April to January inclusive.
Instalments are shown on your bill. You must make payment on or before the 15th of each month from April to January inclusive. If payment is not received by the 15th of the month you will get a reminder notice.
By setting up an automated monthly Direct Debit payment from your bank account your council tax will always be paid on time and you won't receive any arrears notices. It is also the only way to spread the payments over the full financial year.

If you want to change to Direct Debit, phone Revenue Services on 01259 226237 and we can take your details over the phone.
You can also complete our Council Tax Direct Debit form via our Revenues customer portal.
You will be advised in advance if the amount due is to be altered.
If an error is made by us or your bank or building society, you are guaranteed a full refund immediately.
You can cancel your Direct Debit at any time.

Council Tax can be paid at PayPoint outlets.
PayPoint outlets provide more flexible payment times as PayPoint outlets generally open 7 days per week and close late. Visit the PayPoint website to find your closest outlet.
If you are paying by PayPoint you will need to take your bill/reminder with you when you go to make your payment at the PayPoint outlet. PayPoint outlets are unable to accept payments less than £3.00.
