Group Work Programmes

Overview

Group Work Programmes are structured programmes delivered by justice social work to support people to make positive changes.

These programmes are designed to

  • improve decision-making
  • increase awareness of how behaviour affects others
  • support safer communities

Programmes take place in small groups and are led by trained staff in a safe and supportive environment.

  • have a court order, such as a Community Payback Order
  • have a Programme Requirement as part of that order

  • are referred by justice social work

Taking part may be mandatory if it is part of a court order.
