All children in P1-3 are entitled to a free school meal
In primary schools, a healthy and nutritional lunch is available to all children.
Our menu has been devised in line with the Health Promotion and Nutrition Scotland Act (2007) which means your child can choose a well balanced nutritious meal.
For the price of £2.00, your child is entitled to a 2 course meal and can have as much salad or vegetables as they wish to accompany their lunch.
A selection of fresh bread, water, milk and salad bar is available every day and is included with the meal.
We operate an annual menu, which runs from August to June with a three week menu cycle. Special theme days are held throughout the year for example Burns Night.
Along with the desserts shown on the menu, a selection of fresh fruits will be available daily as an alternative.
If your child for any reason requires a special diet, please inform the Head Teacher giving full details of the specific needs along with your full name and telephone number. The catering service will then contact you to discuss in full and will put all procedures in place to ensure your child is well catered for.
There will always be a vegetarian option available.
If your child has any food allergies or intolerances to food and you wish further information on our ingredients, please contact Class Cuisine on 01259 452190.
At the request of your school, the catering service can attend parents evenings. We will provide displays of school lunches, information about Class Cuisine and have various food samples for you to try.
