Electric Vehicle Tariff - Residents Discount Scheme

ChargePlace Scotland App and Replacement Cards

We have been made aware that the residents discount is only being applied to physical cards, and not virtual cards using the ChargePlace Scotland App.  If you have already applied for the residents discount scheme, please email ev@clacks.gov.uk with your 'virtual' ChargePlace Scotland card number and we arrange to get the discount added.  We will arrange to have this information collected on the application form in the future.  

Please also note if you change cards e.g. due to the original being lost or damaged, you will also need to email us with the replacement card number to ensure the discount is applied.

The Clackmannanshire Residents Discount Scheme, provides residents without access to off-street parking e.g. garage or driveway, to a reduced tariff of 10% per kWh. 

Residents with access to off-street parking are not eligible for the discount.

The current tariff for those with the residents discount is £0.43/kWh for standard and fast chargers and £0.62/kWh for rapid chargers.

The vehicle and ChargePlace Scotland (CPS) card must be registered to a Clackmannanshire address and the vehicle must be for personal use only. No businesses can be affiliated with the CPS account and/or vehicle. 

Successful applicants must notify ev@clacks.gov.uk if they move address - even if the new address has no off-street parking.

Please note that this discount is subject to change due to funding restrictions and dates. Any changes will be made public via the ChargePlace Scotland website and this website.

Apply for discount

To apply for the discount, please register via our online form. 

Please note applications must be supported by a copy of the V5C form or equivalent.  The supporting documents require to be emailed to ev@clacks.gov.uk. 

Successful applications will normally be processed within 3 weeks and applied at the beginning of the following month.
