Wind Energy Register

Wind Energy Register

The map was last updated on 26 November 2018.
The spreadsheet was last updated on 22 November 2018.

The information contained within the Wind Energy Register consolidates all of the site and turbine summary details from planning applications received by Clackmannanshire Council since 2006 and is available to view as an interactive map and to download as a spreadsheet (GIS data is also available on request). Both the map and register will be updated whenever a site status changes, or a new wind energy application has been received.

The map allows you to view details and the current status of all wind energy proposals and developments. The map also provides details of proposals submitted for Scoping Opinions under the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations, 2011, Proposal of Application Notices and any applications under the Electricity Act 1989 which are located within Clackmannanshire although these would be determined by Scottish Ministers. Where a prior decision has been overturned at an appeal then the application will only show the new (current) status. A summary of the individual wind turbine details can be accessed through the map by clicking on a wind turbine.

The register is a spreadsheet containing a summary of the information provided by the developer in the planning application. The wind energy sites tab contains a broad overview of the application; the wind turbines tab provides specific information of the turbines within an application site; the info tab provides a description of the data contained within the other tabs.

The map and register are provided for information only. Whilst care is taken to ensure the accuracy of the information they contain, the Council does not guarantee that it either complete or accurate.  If you intend to rely on the information then the record should be checked against the information recieved as part of the planning application and held in Council`s online planning portal. In particular, the status of applications may be different from that shown and, where the height or model of the turbine is changed without a new application being made, it may not be accurately recorded here.
