Clackmannanshire Council Online

Automated phone service

Automated phone service

Clackmannanshire Council uses an automated phone service to contact customers who have balances outstanding for sundry debt invoices.

Sundry debt is the Council term for invoices that we send for payment for chargeable services, for example, waste collections, licences, garages, housing repairs, social care, child care etc.

If you're called or texted by the new phone service, it will come from 01259 341097.

If you get a call from that number, then it is not a scam. You will be asked to

  • press 1 to make a payment via our automated payment line
  • press 2 to receive a text with a secure link to pay on our website, the invoice number and balance
  • press 3 if you have a query about your invoice and need to speak to our team

You will not be asked to give any personal information before you press any of the options.

The text messages sent by Clackmannanshire Council and will show as 'Clacks'. The texts we send will have links to our payment page.

We will only contact you on a number that we have on file for you.

If you select an option to speak to the team then this will be answered by one of the Council's own staff who will ask you questions to confirm that you are the account holder.
