The Old Alloa Conservation Area was designated in 2001, incorporating the original Old Alloa Conservation Area which was designated in 1972. The Conservation Area includes the historic Alloa Tower and its immediate surroundings, the Kilncraigs building and the adjoining graveyards, and extends south down Lime Tree Walk to the Forth and the former Alloa Harbour area.
No Conservation Area Appraisal was undertaken for Old Alloa as a Conservation Report was undertaken as part of the Alloa Townscape Heritage Initiative project.
