This forum consists of a group of different services who regularly meet together to quickly and fairly get the right help to children and young people at the time they need it.
Service representatives include Education, Child Care and school nursing alongside Third Sector partners including Action for Children, Home Start, Barnardos, Inscape Creative Therapies. Meetings take place weekly during during term time.
Referrals can be made to the forum by the child’s school or Early Learning Centre. Supports and services will be provided in the child’s school/ELC or possibly the local community.
To access help through the forum it is important to understand that relevant information about the child will be shared with representatives at the forum. Consent will be needed before a referral is made.
If sharing of information with the forum is not wanted, the child’s school can invite specific services to the next Team Around the Child meeting.
Consent can be withdrawn at any time by informing the Additional Support Needs officer by emailing education@clacks.gov.uk.
