A benefit and tax credit check, and access to the lowest-cost energy rates from your energy supplier.
Many people miss out on money they are entitled to from benefits and tax credits - just because they don't know it's there. We can help find out if this applies to you. Some people discover they can get as much as £1,500 extra per year.
Energy suppliers also offer some people discounted energy rates. Home Energy Scotland can advise about any discounts that may be available to help you pay less for the energy you use.
Everyone may be eligible depending on circumstances. Call Home Energy Scotland now on 0808 808 2282 for personalised advice.
Home Energy Efficiency Programmes (HEEPs) funded by energy companies or the Scottish Government to make your home warmer and cheaper to heat, for example heating systems such as central heating or a new boiler, and loft and cavity wall insulation.
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a energy efficiency scheme devised by the UK Government to help tackle fuel poverty. Recent changes to this (known as ‘Flexible Eligibility’) have allowed local councils to set criteria to assist those who are struggling with energy bills or who (because of health issues) are vulnerable to the effects of living in a cold home.
The accompanying document outlines our Statement of Intent (Version 2.0) in relation to accessing ECO Flexible Eligibility funding and identifying households which can have energy efficiency improvements installed under this scheme.
