Stirling and Clackmannanshire Councils commissioned a Forestry and Woodland Strategy, with the support of the Forestry Commission Scotland and the Central Scotland Green Network Trust, for their localities, excluding the area within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
The strategy has been subject of a Habitat Regulations Appraisal and Strategic Environmental Assessment with an Environmental Report produced to accompany the document.
The Strategy has been adopted by both Councils and seeks to promote appropriate forestry proposals that sit well in the landscape and deliver community benefits, which take account of economic, social and environmental objectives.
