The Clackmannan Conservation Area was designated in 2005 amending the boundaries of the area originally designated in 1972. The Conservation Area encompasses the historic core of Clackmannan, stretching along the Main Street and High Street to Clackmannan Tower and King's Seat Hill with the tops of Kirk Wynd and Port Street and North Vennel.
