The Council have changed suppliers from Cyclescheme to Cycle Solutions.
All staff should have been sent log in detail for the new Staff Benefits scheme. To access the new scheme portal you can go directly to the Edenred website.
To promote healthier journeys to work and to reduce environmental pollution, the 1999 Finance Act introduced an annual Tax and National Insurance exemption, which allows employers to loan cycles and cyclists' safety equipment to employees under a Salary Sacrifice Agreement.
Employees have the chance to lease a bike and safety equipment over 12 months . The lease cost is deducted from your gross pay in equal instalments over the 12 months. Once a voucher is redeemed, Payroll will automatically commence your salary deductions in your next pay for the period you have selected.
You save money because you do not pay Income Tax and National Insurance on the amount by which your gross salary is reduced.
