Information about Clackmannanshire Wellbeing Hub.

Clackmannanshire Wellbeing Hub

Clackmannanshire Council's corporate plan 'Be the Future' and the Local Outcome Improvement Plan of the Clackmannanshire Alliance set out an aspiration to improve the quality of life for every person in Clackmannanshire and identify tackling poverty, inequality and disadvantage, and seeking 'equal opportunity for all' as strategic priorities. The Sport and Active Living Framework sets out the important contribution sport and leisure can make to these strategic priorities.

In the 2021/22 the Council approved the budget to provide a significant investment for a Wellbeing Hub within Alloa as part of a wider strategic review of Clackmannanshire's Leisure and Community Facilities.

The vision for the Wellbeing Hub is driven by the ambition to deliver an inclusive, accessible and inspiring facility that improves the quality of life for communities across Clackmannanshire. It has the potential to be a truly transformational development with success dependent on key national and local partners working collaboratively to deliver against a set of shared objectives and outcomes, with inclusion and health at the core.

There is also an ambition to enhance the future leisure and wellbeing provision across all communities and neighbourhoods.

It is a significant moment for the Council to realise the ambition and the difference that the Wellbeing Hub can make to the local area. Critical to the success of this development is the need to engage and work with users and stakeholders. Through recent community engagement and strategic workshops with stakeholders areas have been highlighted for consideration as the plans for the new Hub and wider leisure offering are developed.
