The chatbot uses artificial intelligence (AI) to understand queries, search the social care webpages for answers, and provide a response. It is a tool to help you navigate our social care web pages only.
A chatbot is a text based artificial intelligence digital assistant, designed to simulate human conversation. It uses a set of information, in this case the social care web pages, to address common questions and can assist with various social care related enquiries in a conversational way.
The chatbot can access all the information published on our social care web pages so will be able to answer queries on any published information.

The chatbot does not have access to your personal details or accounts so is unable to answer questions specific to you. The chatbot can only answer enquiries related to social care and cannot answer questions about other Council services.
Our social care web pages are constantly being reviewed and updated to ensure the most accurate information. As we do this, there may be occasions where an incorrect response is produced by the chatbot due to inaccurate information on the web page.
