Clackmannanshire Licensing Board administers all alcohol and gambling licensing and Clackmannanshire Council is responsible for all licensing under the Civic Government (Scotland ) Act which includes taxi/private hire operators and drivers and booking offices, second hand dealers, knife dealers, metal dealers (from premises or travelling), street traders, market operators, public entertainment, indoor sports entertainment, late hours catering ,window cleaners, skin piercing and tattooing and houses in multiple occupation.
The Council also administers licensing of theatres, caravan sites, pet shops, animal boarding and riding establishments, animal dealers in young cats and dogs and zoos and registrations for exhibiting or training performing animals and is responsible for approving premises as marriage venues, authorising public charitable collections and public processions and registration of food businesses.
