We want to promote healthier journeys to work and reduce environmental pollution, so we're teaming up with Cycle Solutions to offer you a chance to join a new Cycle to Work scheme which will allow you to buy a bike and cyclist safety equipment and pay for it through salary sacrifice.
The scheme is open to all salaried employees who:
- are over the age of 18, to comply with Consumer Credit Act legislation,
- pay PAYE ie must be a UK taxpayer,
- have a salary which meets the National Minimum Wage conditions contained within the salary sacrifice arrangements,
- have a contract of employment that outlasts the duration of the salary sacrifice period of 12 pay periods, with specified hours guaranteed satisfying the minimum salary required,
- will be using the bike purchased for journeys to work and for leisure purposes.
- are under the age of 18, but have a guardian to sign a guarantor agreement.
Please note that members of the Council's current Cycle to Work scheme will continue with their current arrangements.
