Young people in Clackmannanshire are celebrating another year of impressive and improved achievement on Qualifications Scotland results day.
Today’s results demonstrate the talent, ambition and commitment of young people across the area, with strong performances recorded across a broad range of subjects and qualifications.
They reflect not only academic achievement, but also the many different routes young people are taking to prepare for future study, training and employment.
These achievements are the result of the hard work of young people, supported by dedicated staff, families and communities.
Across Clackmannanshire, schools remain committed to creating opportunities for every learner to thrive, grow in confidence and achieve success in ways that are meaningful to them.
Overall, attainment across National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher qualifications has reached one of the strongest performances on record, with 84% of all awards achieved at A-C level. This represents one of Clackmannanshire's strongest attainment performances to date.
At National 5 level, over 80% of entries were awarded an A-C pass, while more than 50% of learners achieved one or more National 5 qualifications at A-C level.
Performance at Higher level has also continued to improve, with 72% of learners achieving an A-C pass. At Advanced Higher level, 79% of entries achieved an A-C pass.
At subject level, there were many positive outcomes achieved, including National 5 English, where 88.5% of entries achieved an A-C pass, the highest rate in five years, and Higher English, where 72% achieved an A-C pass, again the highest rate in five years.
Importantly, targeted strategies, including Whole Family Support and enhanced support for learners with additional support needs, are making a significant impact across Clackmannanshire's schools.
The attainment gap at National 5 level has narrowed further, with learners from the most deprived communities achieving their highest pass rate in the last five years, with 79% gaining an A-C pass.
Record levels of attainment have been achieved among care-experienced learners, learners affected by poverty-related barriers, and those with additional support needs.
This demonstrates the Council's commitment to ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to succeed and highlights the positive impact of the holistic support provided by a range of partners.
Councillor Graham Lindsay, the Council’s spokesperson for People, said: “Today's results are a truly outstanding achievement and a source of immense pride for Clackmannanshire. They reflect the talent, ambition and dedication of our young people, who have risen to every challenge and delivered one of our strongest attainment performances on record.
"To achieve results of this calibre, which mark one of our strongest performances to date, is a remarkable accomplishment. What stands out most is the determination and commitment shown by our learners, alongside the invaluable support provided by families, teachers and school staff. Together, they have created an environment where young people can flourish and fulfil their potential.
"Whether moving on to further or higher education, training, apprenticeships or employment, these qualifications will open doors to exciting opportunities and bright futures. I would like to congratulate every young person receiving their results today. They should be incredibly proud of their achievements, and I have no doubt they will continue to build on this success and achieve great things in the years ahead."

While today's results are an important milestone, success is about much more than qualifications alone. Our young people continue to excel through volunteering, sport, the arts, leadership opportunities and the many wider achievements that help shape their futures.
"I would also like to thank our teachers, support staff, families and partner organisations for the vital role they play in supporting young people to succeed. It is encouraging to see that the strong support available in our schools and communities continues to make a real difference.
"Most importantly, we want every young person to be happy, healthy and supported to achieve their ambitions. Whether celebrating exam success, personal progress or wider achievements, every young person should be incredibly proud of what they have accomplished this year."
