Clackmannanshire’s Provost Donald Balsillie has congratulated Her Majesty The Queen on her Platinum Jubilee.
He said: “Her Majesty The Queen is the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of diligent public service.
“This extraordinary milestone is an important occasion for the country to mark and I am delighted to see that so many local events and celebrations have been organised to mark such an historic national event.
“From the bunting adorning Alloa High Street to the many tea parties and Jubilee lunches happening across Clackmannanshire, it’s wonderful to see the community coming together to honour the lifetime of service Her Majesty has given the country.”
