The results of the nomination stage of the remaining three community councils have been announced.
The residents of the Sauchie & Fishcross area have now elected the people who will represent their interests over the next 4 years.
To find out who the community councillors for these areas are, see the notice on Council’s website https://www.clacks.gov.uk/community/communitycouncilelections/
Members of Alloa, Alva, Clackmannan, Menstrie, Muckhart and Tillicoultry, Coalsnaughton & Devonside community councils were elected unopposed after the first call for nominations. The term of office for community councillors elected to these areas and to the Sauchie & Fishcross area will begin on the 15 of October 2021.
In Dollar, residents nominated more people than places available on the community council and they will be balloted next month to elect 14 of the nominees to their community council.
The results for the area of Tullibody, Cambus & Glenochil do not allow a community council to be formed as less than the required minimum number of nominees were submitted after the second call.
Community councils are bound by a governance framework which is strictly applied to ensure they legitimately and democratically represent their respective areas. It requires people to go through an open election process in order to become community councillors.
