Bookings for Clackmannanshire Council's Summer of Wellbeing programme are now open.

And there's never been a better time to get active with a fantastic summer of sport ahead. Whether you’re inspired by The Euros, the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Lions tour of South Africa or Wimbledon, there is ample opportunity to join in one of the many activities on offer in our programme.

There are lots of free summer activities thanks to funding from the Scottish Government’s Get into Summer programme.  This year we are offering a blend of pre-bookable or turn up and try sessions, and many of the events are being offered in partnership with community organisations.

Activities taking place during the six week break include:

  • Tennis
  • cycling
  • athletics
  • multisports

Whether you are a young person aged from 0-12 years, or a teenager looking to try a new activity, there is something for everyone this summer.

Our libraries are also offering a range of fun activities with arts and crafts, recycling crafts, Bookbug Mini, library bagging and Pokémon lure parties.

Education spokesperson Cllr Graham Lindsay said: "Our summer programme is packed with fun and exciting activities, including a wide range of sports. I'm encouraging everyone in Clackmannanshire to check out the full programme, get involved and above all, have fun with a summer of play and sport."

Enhanced Covid-19 health and safety measures will be in place for every activity and venue with activities only taking place under strict guidance and procedures.
