Alva Primary Fire

September 2019

There was a small fire at Alva Primary School today.

All children and adults were safely evacuated.

Due to the smell of smoke, the majority of primary school children will be taught in Alva Academy tomorrow (6th September).

Children will start their day in the primary school and be registered there and will be taken by their class teacher to the nearby Academy.

At the end of the school day they will be brought back to the primary school and sent home from there.

Arrangements have been made to provide for those pupils requiring breakfast club and school meals.

Our cleaning staff will be doing all they can to ensure the primary school children can return to their building on Monday. Communication will be issued to parents to keep them updated on the situation.
