The finalists to become Clackmannanshire Citizen of the Year have been announced.
Caroline Crawford, Alan Faulds, Kit Gow, Cameron Little, Craig Millar, Susan Mitchell, Marleen Owen, Nicola Simm and Anne Tannock are the finalists. The winner of the award, which is sponsored by the Lord Lieutenant's Trust, will be announced at a ceremony in March.
Caroline Crawford has been involved with Menstrie Community Council for over 30 years and has contributed to volunteering roles and fundraising.
Alan Faulds is a firefighter with more than 24 years service and works in the Community Safety Department.
Kit Gow leads “Opening More Doors” which is a small group of dedicated people who have undertaken fundraising for third sector groups.
Cameron Little helped bring about the return of passenger train services to Alloa and has also campaigned for over 10 years to resolve Platform 9 issues at Stirling station.
Craig Millar gives up his time to support local community groups with activities, fundraising, support and advice.
Susan Mitchell is a volunteer for Stirling Citizens for Sanctuary which works with Syrian families resettling within Clackmannanshire.
Marleen Owen is a retired teacher and volunteers by teaching English to Syrian refugees settled in the community of Alva.
Nicola Simm is a member of Menstrie Primary Parent Council and a school volunteer who makes a contribution to improving the lives of the children in Menstrie.
Anne Tannock has been a Girl Guide leader for the past 35 years and has worked with the Guides for 43 years.
Provost Tina Murphy said: “These finalists have made a real impact in their local communities, and I look forward to seeing the Lord Lieutenant announce the winner of the Clackmannanshire Citizen of the year next month.”
Johanna Wilkinson is the current Citizen of the Year, recognised for her many years of work in the voluntary sector in Clackmannanshire, including setting up the Wee County Veterans.
