A Care Inspectorate report into ABC Nursery in Alloa says the nursery provides high quality care for children and families in the community.

An Inspector from the Care Inspectorate carried out an unannounced inspection in May.

The Care Inspectorate gave ABC Nursery these grades:
Quality of care and support 5Very Good
Quality of environment5Very Good

The Care Inspectorate report praises the new nursery manager who was appointed earlier this year and highlights the building upgrades which have been carried out since their previous inspection when a refurbishment had been recommended.

The report states: "Staff were found to be motivated and enthusiastic." The report adds: "Throughout the nursery staff knew children in their care well. The level of nurturing care throughout the nursery was very good and achieved through good staffing levels and high expectations of the staff group by the management team. Parents described the nursery as having a 'caring and supportive environment.'"

The report concludes: "We could see many good examples of all age groups of children happy, engaged and learning. An example of this took place during lunch time, sitting together chatting and making real friendships. We saw children aged from two to preschool age playing, having fun and learning together."
