eDevelopment.scot is being launched on Wednesday 13th January. This is a new single landing page where users can access ePlanning services (and eBuilding Standards from August 2016) using an updated submissions portal that include updated intelligent forms, a new fee calculator, mapping facility and document loader. The new portal will be available via ClacksWeb.

All planning applications and appeals have been able to be submitted electronically via a Scottish Government portal since 2009, and all information relevant to existing applications has been available to view via ClacksWeb.

The ePlanning service provides an easy-to-use web portal to complete and send planning applications, notices of review, appeals and other permissions needed under planning law to all 33 Scottish Planning Authorities. Almost 70% of all planning applications are now submitted online.

Enterprise and Environment Convener Donald Balsillie said: "The replacement ePlanning portal has been developed and built on a like for like basis and continues to enable online submission of planning applications and appeals. The additional functionality will enable increased time-savings for the Council as a planning authority."

Additionally, the ClacksWeb Public Access portal is also being upgraded to include all submitted forms and drawings, any correspondences, objections, consultations and decisions that are taken. You can also comment and/or object on current applications via the website
