During Craigbank Primary School's recent focus on Robert Burns and Scottish poetry all the pupils learned a Scottish poem or song. Teachers and pupils voted for their class winners who then performed their poem or song at a special Burns Assembly and were presented with a certificate.
All classes also held a Scottish poetry art competition. The winners also received a certificate at Craigbank's special Burns Assembly and their winning artwork was displayed on the Amazing Work Wall.
A group of eight pupils from P4-7 participated in the annual Burns Poetry Competition organised by the Alloa Burns Club and held at Banchory Primary School. Pupils from P1-P7 also entertained members of the Thursday Circle at Sauchie and Coalsnaughton Parish Church with renditions of Scottish songs and poetry.
Councillor Ellen Forson, Education, Sport and Leisure Convenor, said: "We are all very proud of the high standard achieved by the pupils at Craigbank and I warmly congratulate the winners."
