Join in the festive fun on Saturday 30 November in Alloa Town Centre when the Christmas Tree lights will be officially switched on at 4.30pm.
Two pupils from Deerpark Primary School will carry out the tree lighting ceremony accompanied by Clackmannanshire Council's Provost Tina Murphy.
The Festive Family Fun Day will have festivities taking place from 10am until 6pm within High Street and Mill Street, culminating in the tree lighting ceremony. Entry is free for the whole community.
Following on from last year's success, the funfair will return to Mill Street and in the High Street the fun will start from 3pm. Also look out for Santa's Grotto and the face painter in the Tree Tops in Mar Street.
Provost Murphy said: "It is always a wonderful event each year in the town and really marks the start of the Christmas festivities. I am sure people will turn out to see the switch on and enjoy the full day of events which have been lined up."
The public should note that High Street and Mill Street will both be closed to traffic from 7.30am until 7.30pm on the 30th November.
The festive fun continues throughout December with more events organised by Alloa Town Centre BID including Santa's Grotto and a face painter in Tree Tops on the 7th, 14th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd December. Reindeer will be in the High Street on 14th December from 9am to 1pm. There will be an ice rink in Greenside Street on 21st, 22nd and 23rd December, and an indoor Christmas market will take place at Tree Tops on 14th December.
