Clackmannanshire Council's Active Summer Start programme kicks off on Monday 8th July, with a host of activities lined up.
A daily multi-sports activity will take place at the Alloa Academy Dance Studio between 8th July and Friday 12th July for three to five-year-olds. It will take place each day from 9.30am until 11.30am. the cost is £25 for the week or £6 per day.
On the same days that week there will be pre-school gymnastics sessions in The Wasp Centre, Clackmannan Road, Alloa, between 12.30pm and 1.30pm. These are again for three to five year-olds and the cost is £15 for the week or £3 per day.
There will be two other pre-school gymnastics sessions during the summer programme from 22nd-26th July. The Wasp Centre will again be the venue, with a session for one to two year-olds from 9.30am until 10.15am and for three to five-year-olds from 10.30am until 11.30am. The cost for each of the sessions is £15 per week or £3 per day.
The children have been working towards their British Gymnastics pre-school proficiency awards since September last year and many have attained badges 1, 2 and 3.
Education, Sport and Leisure Convener, Councillor Ellen Forson said: "Active Start Gymnastics provides a structured learning experience whilst maintaining a fun element for our children.
"The standard of gymnastics the children have attained is excellent. They work very hard to succeed with these challenges and attaining these awards is a great achievement for them.
"We are proud of them all and hope that many of them will continue with gymnastics through our Sports Development classes or local gymnastics clubs."
