Local primary schools from across Clackmannanshire and Stirling have battled it out in the local heat of the Scotland wide Euro Quiz competition.
This year Clackmannanshire and Stirling held a joint heat and a winning team from each council area. The winning teams were Strathdevon and Drymen Primary Schools. Euro Quiz is organised by the Scottish European Educational Trust and is sponsored by Standard Life.
Nine primary schools took part in the competition at Alva Primary on Friday 2nd March. The competing teams from the Stirling area were Killin, Drymen, Buchanan, Thornhill and Newton and from Clackmannanshire primaries they were, Alva, Tillicoultry, Strathdevon and Fishcross.
Headteacher of Alva Primary Craig Rennie was quizmaster for the event and Stuart Ryecroft of the European Trust presented the trophies and prizes.
The teams where asked questions on European Union, Languages, Culture and Geography.
It was a great morning and Alva Primary school children had made tabletops for the teams, served and provided juice and fruit for the children.
