A907 Clackmannan Bypass roadworks between Gartarry and Marywood roundabouts are scheduled to commence on Monday 25 June for 12 weeks, to widen the road and install traffic islands to create safer crossing for cyclists and pedestrians and to improve conditions for vehicles accessing and leaving Helensfield junction.
During the works traffic travelling westbound from Gartarry roundabout towards Alloa will be diverted through Clackmannan. Traffic travelling eastbound from Alloa towards Gartarry roundabout and Kincardine will remain on the bypass. Delays are expected and advice is to find alternative route where possible.
This is a significant engineering project, which requires deep excavations for drainage, kerbing and lighting works to support the improvements.
Funding for the project has been provided externally by SUSTRANS and the Clackmannan Regeneration Project. Work to develop the walking and cycling network is being undertaken as a result of issues raised in the Clackmannan Community Action Plan and work with the Development Trust and Community Council. Works aim to address road safety, accessibility, promotion of tourism to benefit local business and active travel links to better connect Clackmannan with neighbouring areas.
THE CLACKMANNANSHIRE COUNCIL (A907 CLACKMANNAN BYPASS) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2018
The Clackmannanshire Council has made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) on 31st May 2018.
The effect of this Order shall be to close to vehicles:-
The period from 0800 hours on Monday 25th June 2018 for a period of 12 weeks or until works are completed whichever is soonest, on the section described in Schedule. The temporary closure is necessary for road widening and traffic island installation.
A copy of the Order, together with a copy of the relative plan, is available below or may be examined at Clackmannanshire Council's Offices, Kilncraigs, Alloa, FK10 1EB, and any Council Office/Library, during normal office hours free of charge.
