Whistleblowing Policy

If you wish to report concerns involving the Council, you can raise them confidentially in line with the Council's whistleblowing arrangements.

Whistleblowing enables workers and others to report concerns where they believe wrongdoing has occurred, is occurring, or may occur in the future.

What should be reported?

• Fraud or attempted fraud
• Corruption or bribery
• Theft or misuse of Council assets
• Financial malpractice
• Serious health and safety concerns
• Sexual harassment
• Abuse of authority
• Deliberate concealment of wrongdoing

The above list is not exhaustive.

Method of reporting

Please provide as much information as possible, including the nature of the concern, relevant dates, individuals involved, and any supporting evidence you may have.
