The contract to continue the C1 and C2 bus services has been awarded by the Council.
The current contract is due to expire on Saturday 24th March and replacement services have been tendered through an EU-compliant procurement process.
The contracts have been awarded to providers First Bus and Hunter’s, for three years, with an optional two-year extension.
The C1 bus serves Alloa Town Centre and the C2 bus serves Glenochil – Alloa – Tillicoultry.
Council Leader Les Sharp said: “I am delighted that the Council has awarded this contract which received the unanimous backing of all councillors and will result in the continuation of this local bus service.”
