A stunning image of Clackmannan Tower has won the 'My Clackmannanshire' photo competition.

The photo was taken by Jon Marshall, and was one of over 400 entries the Council received for the online competition.

The competition was held in conjunction with the Local Development Plan public consultation and the winning photograph, along with some of the runners-up, will be published in the final version of the Plan.

All images submitted to the competition related to Clackmannanshire's built or natural environment - old, new and under construction - with a top prize of an iPod Touch for the overall winner.

You are invited to send a photographer to Kilncraigs at 11am on Friday 11th March when Jon will be presented with his prize by Director of Services to Communities Garry Dallas.

Written submissions on the Local Development Plan are able to be submitted until Friday 11th March and the Council is holding a closing consultation event from 6-7pm on Thursday 10th March at Kilncraigs.

This is another chance to influence the Local Development Plan and hear how the consultation has progressed.

Since it was launched in December, a programme of events and open surgeries have been held. Over 370 people came along to these events, and with staff also addressing community councils on the subject, over 500 people have had a chance to influence the document which sets out a vision for development in Clackmannanshire over the next two decades.

The Local Development Plan will be formulated over the remainder of this calendar year taking the comments made during consultation into account.
